​The Wandering Wheatbelt Wine aWards (WWWaW) was formed by a group of volunteers in 2005 to showcase the locally grown wines and promote the local area. A wine show was planned and a 5 course Gala Dinner accompanied with matching regional wines was decided as the occasion to present the aWards.

 

The evening was always held on the last Saturday in October at Wandering Brook Estate in Wandering and every year the venue was decorated exquisitely for the occasion.

The event was only made possible due to the generous sponsorship from local government and businesses and the time and effort donated by the local volunteers and committee members in the run up to and on the night of the event.

In 2019 we decided to do things a little differently and held a Long Table Lunch on the Oval instead of the evening Gala Dinner. Our event is called 'Wandering Autumn Graze' and in keeping with tradition we use and source local and regional products.

​

The inaugural event was an awesome occasion, more relaxed, delicious food and drink and fabulous live music from Russell and Tom.  Our planned event for 2020 was cancelled due to Covid but we came back stronger for our 2021 event.

The committee is currently working on plans for the 2023 event which will be held Saturday March 25.
