This region was recognised as having a unique set of geographical and topographical influences that influence the quality of wine produced in the region by the Geographic Indications Committee and awarded GIC status as a gazetted wine region in 1999.

Lionmill VineyardsSet in the Darling Range east of Perth, Lion Mill Vineyards is planted with vines on land selected in the 1870s. Initially part of an important timber milling area, the region later became a centre of fruit growing and small farming. The Lion Mill cellar door looks out over the vineyards on this picturesque property.

We are 8kms north of Lake Grace on the main road between Hyden (Wave Rock) in the north and Albany in the south and half way between Perth and Esperance in the east.
